After Max Katz,a Senior Systems Engineer at Exadel,introduced Exadel’s new JavaFX plug-in for Eclipse at JSFDays,this plugin is planning to release a version for JavaOne. The plug-in is still working in progress. Here is a screenshot and the feature list:

  • JavaFX perspective
  • Create new JavaFX project wizard
  • Basic editor with code highlighting and error markers (build)
  • Application launcher

The 1st session of “15-week JavaFX Programming (with Passion!)” free online course will start from Jan. 30th, 2009. For registration, all you have to do is to send a blank email to the following email address.

This course runs very much like a regular college course in which the students are expected to do weekly homework after studying the presentation material and doing the hands-on lab but it is free and can be taken online. There is also class email alias where students can ask/answer questions.

Due to the fast pacing nature of the JavaFX technology, the contents will be changed and improved even after the dates specified.
